We had the privilege of meeting Julie Lim in New York City in 2010 while traveling to the USA to attend WPPI for the first time. Both Christine and myself were blown away by the simplistic, creative style of Julie. We found it very fitting that her surname is the acronym for a philosophy very close to our hearts – Less Is More.

This year, we got to hang out with Julie again, this time in Santa Barbara with David Jay in the amazing Freedom House. (The view you see is just another day from the Freedom House lounge)

Just before we left for dinnner, Julie noticed Christine’s new Canon point-and-shoot camera and started reminiscing about her first camera and how she started shooting. All of us were captivated by her story and had to share it with you guys. That is how the impromptu interview got started. (So please excuse the shaky video and soft audio – one cannot plan for spontaneity ;)
