1. When and how did the photography bug bite you?

When I was 14 years old I went for a photos shoot with a local wedding photographer. That was the first and last time I liked to be in front of the camera, thereafter I realized my favourite spot is behind it :)

2. Your house is on fire, your family, equipment and pets are safe, but you only have time to take 2 items, what would it be?

My jeans and my iphone! (ps. maybe I should choose a bag, and then fill it with more stuff, can I do that? Or does that disqualify me?)

3. If you could have a conversation with anyone about anything, who would it be and what would you talk about?

I would love to have lunch with Richard Brandson. He is the craziest businessman I’ve ever read about and I just love his approach and absence of fear. I would love to pick his brain about business and marketing.

4. What can you talk about for hours? (apart from photography)

business ideas! My brain is full of them and I get so excited some times I just want to jump up and down! And sometimes I really do :)

5. What makes you really angry?

I can not handle the fact that some people can not celebrate other’s success. Jealously is the most nasty thing and it makes me very very angry angry face

6. You help an old lady load her groceries in her car; only to find out she is extremely wealthy. She wants to buy you something to say ‘thanks’. What would you choose?

Can I only choose one thing? I saw this amazing leather jacket on the internet the other day! And if she want’s to be extra nice she can throw in some leather boots too :) *what can I say, apart form being a photographer, I’m still a woman and I love clothes :)

7. What subject matter do you love shooting?

I love people, but also enjoy shooting editorial styled things.

8. If you could only take one lens on every shoot (even if you don’t currently own it), which one would it be and why?

50mm 1.4 by far!

9. If you had all the time in the world to do one photography project, what would it be?

I would love to do two books. The first one is a recipe book of my mom’s cooking and secondly a book on the people of Africa.

10. Have you ever had one of those embarrassing moments at a shoot? Would you tell us what happened and how you survived?

OH yes!!! I took a couple into a vineyard for some couple photos. I was standing in the vineyards photographing them walking towards me. I was kind of bent down with my bum out and then all of a sudden I felt this lightning bolt go though my body! I jumped in the air and then I felt the sting…I walked right into a electric fence with my bum…it was so embarrassing and super painful! But at the end it was actually very funny! :)

11. What music do you listen to when you have to get through long hours of admin and editing?

Lady Antebellum, John Mayer, Josh Radin, Mat Kearney, Brian Wurzell & Taylor Swift

12. Which aspect of your craft are you the least and most confident in?

Least – off camera flash. I totally suck!
Most – natural light

13. When you have to make big decisions, which do you prefer? “Flipping a coin”, “Comparing the pro’s and con’s” or “going with the flow”.

going with the flow!

14. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I would love to see italy. I love great food and wine and also love authenticity. I have this picture in my mind…I want to drive in a small little car through the country side, see the awesome golden light and experience the taste of italian pizza :)

15. Give a link to one of your recent shoots that you absolutely loved shooting? Why did you enjoy it so much?

Daniel & Andrea  I loved the spontaneity of the couple and the gorgeous light and setting.
